Bladder Infection and Cycling - Cancer: Bladder Message Board

Hi, I recently developed a bladder infection only the second one I've ever had, the last one being over 10 years ago. My question is, I recently started taking two cycling classes a week at the gym. Does anyone know if this could cause a woman to developing a bladder infection? Thanks for any info

I also got a bladder infection after going to a cycling class. My Dr said it was because of me sweating creating a moist bredding ground for bacteria down there. Also, the back and forth motion of cycling can cause bacteria from the anus to travel up to the vagina and urethra causing an infection. Im not saying that every time you do cycling you will get an infection, but be careful. Wear COTTON PANTIES ONLY which allow air to get in and help prevent moisture build up. Also drink 100% cranberry juice without added sugars or cranberry tablets to help keep a healthy urinary tract and bladder. Hope this was helpful for you
