That annoying bladder thing! grrr

Hi all x my bladder is paying havoc with me lately lf lm not weeing all the time l feel like l need a wee all the time grrr my lower stomach aches too and l feel sore from wiping!! Does this happen to you guys with irritable bladder too? So far noone has bothered to look at my bladder lve had urine tests when lve complained 9/10 times theres no infection, lf l press on my lower stomach it really hurts l go to see my doc this week regarding my 1st rheumy visit, l take it the blood tests have come back ok or l would of heard????? The appointment is to start anti depressants... what do l do if l start these and lm still in pain? remember the rheumy wasnt exactly into fibro but said he would treat me as if l have and keep an open mind trust me to pick a hospital where there nt into fibro! Mind he did say here in the Uk theres no real money goes into fibro research so they dont tend to use fibromyalgia as a diagnosis! More chronic pain syndrome. Anyway lm going off track lol having a grotty morning very tired fluey and aching and the bladder
discomfort any tips of any one to ease this? Thanks all xxx

Ps anyoen else had this? The last few days the lower left shin keeps going numb! It dont last long but comes and goes l dnt think this has happened before it feels weird

Pss lol also when l lay down or get up lm going dizzy mainly right sided head movements!

Re: That annoying bladder thing! grrr

Hi,

Please stress this to your doctor. I was anne. I had the same thing and finally they ran a scope into my bladder and I had a small tumor, it was cancer and I wasn't a pain in the butt patient anymore. I don't know how your stores work, but look by the girlie stuff (tampons, etc.) and they might stock a over the counter medicine that's for urinary symptoms. It makes you wee red or orange so don't wear good underclothes if you do try it.

Cut out anything that is a carb. or sugary, you can have yeast grow in your bladder and colon too, not just the who-ha. You might try wiping with unscented wipes and wipe front to back always. Use unscented toilet paper. You might want to wipe off with a warm washcloth. I drink cranberry juice too, some people don't think it helps, but whenever I've had a true bladder infection it and meds helped me. In nursing homes that I worked at in my younger days they gave patients that had catheters cranberry juice everyday. If I get into a cold pool it happens. Iron your under panties. Only wear panties with the cotton crotch. I don't use scented laundrysoap or fabric softenner when washing the panties and I dry them in the dryer. Don't use scented bubblebath's if you take tub baths. Sitting in a warm bath may help the spasms. Sometimes moist heating pads help, but sometimes it makes me cramp more. You may also have a deep trigger point that's causing this also. Mine are usually above my pelvic bone and even though it hurts I can usually break it up with a tennis ball by lying on it and pressing in. I have had trigger points in there that I couldn't get and it'd take what seemed like forever to go away. I have read that there are some physical therapists that have learned how to do myofascial release internally. People don't realize that up there is tissue too that can spasm. Please though tell your doctor about what happened to me if you want to. Actually I went to my gyn. and she said she thought I needed to be scoped so she called my primary doctor and she set up an appt. for me with a urologist. I'm thankful that my doctors know me well and know I'm not feeding them a line. I don't have them much anymore, but if it starts out go the sweets. I know this sort of thing makes you feel crazy, especially at night. I take my meds, go potty, but I always feel like theres another drop in there. After that dribbles out eventually I'm okay.

Hope this has given you some ideas. Good luck to you sweetie.

Re: That annoying bladder thing! grrr

hey kiddo,
i use concentrated cranberry suppliment. i take 6 a day. always best to consult your doctor and be a pest. i go to a specialist and have for 4 years dealing with my neverending u.t.i. i also had surgery and they put a splint under my urethra so i can hold my urine again.
i know the shin feeling. weird huh? trippy tho. check your meds on the dizzy part. could be a side effect. call your pharmacist. any new meds? sometimes an old one can suddenly be not for you. dizzy should always be checked out.
glad you feel a bit better today. fibro sure does love our weaks spots.
peace,
blue

Have you been checked for Interstitial Cystitis. Many of us fibro's have it also. A miserable ailment to put it mildly.

Re: That annoying bladder thing! grrr

I'm so glad we have this......I forgot all about cystitis, thanks for writing that. I don't get that anymore, knock on wood, since cutting out wheat and sugars. If yeast gets in there your bladder wants it out. That and drinking cranberry juice. Everybody's different with what works best for them. I know that that constant feeling drives you nuts.

Blue, do the cranberry pills cause any stomach upset? Do you take them with food or just any time? How's the back doing? Mine's pretty good, no more innertube.

I hope you're all alright today.

Re: That annoying bladder thing! grrr

Thanks all x your relys were great went to doc today forgot all about the bladder thing with talking about my hosp appntment etc l go to docs again in few weeks so will write it down and not forget next time!! Blue x that shin things stopped now lol it did feel strange! The dizziness lve had for years off an on its like if l tilt my head a certain way or lie down get up etc it sometimes lasts a few days sometimes a few weeks even l have mentioned it before and had my ears etc checked and noone knows what it is maybe its part of fibro? She did say the rheumy said everything points to fibro but its a term our uk docs dont use to freely as not enough money has been spent on research here and because fibromyalgia describes alot of symptoms and they dont like to lable you as having fibromyalgia because of all the complex symptoms that go with it so at least lve been reconized as having a problem and lm been treated for it So the plan is now lve been giving some antidepressents to start if l want, l have my pain killers and lve been told the plan is to keep me comfy as possible and l am also going to see some sort of councillor l dont know what the blood tests showed which were taking at the hospital l guess l will hear back from them at some stage. So at least now l am been taking seriously and my non exsistant thyroid is not taking the blame any longer l feel brighter already just knowing lm been listened too something so simple can make such a difference eh? anyway l will go for now but honestly lm really grateful for all your replies and help x you are all wonderful have a nice day xxxx

Re: That annoying bladder thing! grrr

anytime kiddo. glad the shin thing eased off. your body will do alot of bizarre things. be prepared for that. always have new symptoms checked out for your peace of mind.
hey debeach the cranberry pills do not upset my tummy at all. i take them on an empty tummy in the morning and again at night when there may be a bit of food in me. the juice tears up my tummy and i honestly dislike the taste. my mom used to shove it down me as a kid when i got u.t.i.s
the backside is doing better, thanks for asking. will do it again the 29th. second times a charm. giggle. glad you are doing better too.
peace,
blue
