| Bladder Infection or Something Else?
I was just diagnosed with a bladder infection, and the doctor gave me antibiotics. She was going to send it off to see what kind of antibiotics would treat it. In the meantime she gave me Cipro. The only symptom that I had was a severe lower back ache. I always thought that when you had a bladder infection that you had pain or problems urinating. My question is does this urine sample prove for sure that it is a bladder infection or could it be something else. The reason I ask is that a few years ago I had cervical cryosurgery. I have been guilty of not taking care of myself and put off having a pap smear done. After the surgery I had a 3mo., 6mo., and yearly exam that came back fine. But now I am wondering if my back pain could be related to my cervix instead of my bladder. I don't have any other symptoms. I am very worried, and I am going back to get a pap smear this week and check on the bladder infection. Any information in the meantime would be helpful. I just wonder what my chances are of the abnormal cells returning or turning into cancer.
