I'm not in the same situation, but I can talk to you if you want. I've had friends diagnosed with various types of cancers.
Cancer is a horrid opportunistic disease

I can imagine the confusion and fear that you are going through right now. Just know that many people have and have had cancer, so you are not alone.
Do you have a church group that you can talk to? Perhaps call the oncology department and ask to speak to a social worker there. They have support systems set up to assist people who have been newly diagnosed with cancer.
Also, you can contact the cancer foundation in your area, and they can put you through to volunteers who can talk to you and offer you some emotional support, and even accompany you to the doctor if you need.
