Could it be cancer?

I've always had piles when I have hard stoots. However a few months ago i had bright red blood when going to the toilet, it disappeared a few days later. Never had any pain or weight loss or bowel changes. About 8 months later i saw blood once again after passing hard stool. I went to the dr he examined me and said everything ok in the lower rectal part and also tested my stomach and all was ok. But I'm scared, could it be cancer?
