Need some advice...

My Dad was diagnosed with bowel cancer 3 years ago and as a result had to have about 3/4 of it removed.

He was put on chemotherapy but this proved too toxic for him and they've decided to stop it and try and experimental drug - dunno what it's called though

When he's had scans, he's been told that there are spots on his liver, lungs and stomach and that he has a minimum of 18 months left with us

He's recently been having some kidney problems and as a result had to have keyhole surgery to unblock one of his kidneys and apparently he has to have this every 6 months

Could this be from the cancer/chemo? or could this have happened to him anyway - he's 64 by the way

we're all very concerned understandably and as he's in London and we're all over the country, none of us really know what's going on

Not sure if anyone can advise, but I had to post

Thanks
