| 29y 60mm polyp
I'm 29y old and in good health. recently during a colonoscopy they found a 60mm polyp in my right side large bowel. It was even more of a surprise that 18 months ago I had a clear colonoscopy.
Since then I had my right side bowel removed. The cancer (adenocarcinoma) didn't spread (almost did...) through the intestin wall which sounded like a miracle.
I'm being tested for HNPCC.
Has anybody else experienced very fast growing polyps that turns so quickly into cancer? Polyps I can read about are usually between 5 to 40mm.
I understand standard practice would suggest another colonoscopy in 1 year from now, but if a polyp can reach 60mm in 18 months I'm wondering what size it could reach in 12 months...
Any experience on this topic would be greatly appreciated :-)
