Hi paul,

Im also in the uk Ive been going through the same thing (without blood) for 5 years and just had a colonoscopy and they found inflammation of my ilium, and im waiting on biopsies and really fear its cancer even though they havent mentioned it, so i know exactly how you feel, Im surprised that you havent been refered to a gastroenterologist, you could always try to get a second opionion also, is your stools loose or still solid as it sounds simular to colitis

hope this helps

Paul
you need further investigation despite your age. Age is just a stat and how the NHS loves stats. However, you are not a stat but a worried person with real health issues. Your doc knows this. What you have may turn out to be harmless but unless it is checked !. Your inner torment is having its effect on you too and at 25 you whole life is in front of you.

Hi I am from the uk and like you am so frigtened I can hardly breath. I had cervical cancer some 20 odd years ago. Like you horrendous back ache tummy ache and blood in my pooh and on the paper. They tried to do a colonoscopy on me but I couldnt tolerate it so then I had a barium enema, no results yet, so sick and tired of being scared all the time and so sick and tired of feeling like hell, so I am so with you hon.

Re: Frightened I have bowel cancer

i paul i have been seen by specialist for 4 years with similar symtoms to you on. the 17th august i had a large op to remove cancer 40%of my bowell was removed 2.5ft of my colon removed 23 polyps found 4 were type c all of them removed i now have to go and do chemo for 6months, the one thing different to you was i was found to be anaemic this anaemia is when you are bleeding inside ,found by blood testing, so its unlikely that you have colon cancer , even if you were to get this cancer, dont worry. fight it, and dont let it get you down im possitve the outcome will be good for you as it is good for me. jcur.
