weird swelling on areola - Cancer: Breast Message Board

I am currently pregnant and noticed 2 months ago a swollen loop that goes around my nipple on my areola..it comes and goes through out the day..I have asked my ob/gyn and 2 breast surgeons and no one is concerned..it wasn't that visable at the time I was examined because if I get cold and my nipple shrivels up it goes away..I also have had a slightly swollen gland under my armpit on the same side..they just say it is not that big and is reactive..no one even offered an ultrasound..I am worried sick I have breast cancer..I can't even enjoy my pregnancy

Try not to worry.
It sounds like your milk glands are swelling. Thats very normal. It happened me when i was pg. and my golden retriever got the lump in the armpit thing. It went away when she stopped nursing :-)
Mine was noticable when it was time to feed the baby but not after i was less full.
Being pregnant is such a wonderful time try to enjoy it. Once its over then you have to share the baby right now he/she is all yours.
