small hard bump on areola - Cancer: Breast Message Board

I have had a small protruding bump on my aereola for about two years. At first I thought itwas one of those little glands that was swollen, but it's hard and the size of a small pea. It's only slightly sensitive when pressed. Does any know what it could be? Thanks!

I have had those on mine also. The nurse practioner called it something but was nothing to worry about. I always refered to them as milk bumps. I have one now that is larger then any Ive had before and its right next to my nipple. I was really wondering about it kinda scary. Mine is also the size of a pea. Wish someone else would reply would like to kknow more.

My 1 year old daughter has had this same kind of bump on her aereola for almost as long as I can remember. Her is much smaller than a pea though as she is so young that would make sense I guess. It has always stayed the same size and was flesh colored. Until the last couple days I have noticed it has been getting a bit bigger. Well today it is RED and looks painful and is also considerably bigger. I'm having it checked out tomorrow so I will let you know what the Doc says.

I have one of those too i think. I'm almost 21 and it appeared about a year ago. I started when one of the tiny gland things got a bit bigger. Its not very big now-only about 3mm in diameter. Its quite hard and looks white. It doesnt really hurt or anything but just doesnt look very nice. Ive not had it looked at. Do you think i should?

Get it checked out all of you. If you are concerned go to a doctor and then you can all rest easy. Lizard50
