Post Lump in armpit

I have a lump on the top part of my armpit, was wondering if anyone has had anything like this. I go in to see my doctor on Thursday. Thanks for any info.

the only thing i have to tell you is to go see your doc ASAP. my mother found a lump in her breast about 5yrs ago...she went to her doc and found out that she did have cancer...she did have to have her right breast removed but they did catch it in time b4 it spread. it is a scarey deal....but if you do catch it in time you have nothing at all to worry about. good luck to you.

Arrow--are you sure 15cm? That's about 6". Regardless, I wish her the best of luck.

My mom had breast cancer in 1998 and has had 2 recurrences. Both were in her armpit in the lymph nodes. The first time it manifested it through drainage in the lungs, and this time (yesterday diagnosis) it was a 2cm lump.

Go visit your doctor, please...

to both ladies who have lumps under the armpit,
Go see not just a doctor but an Oncologist .And insist on a biopsy!
I don't want to friek you out but I am a 5 year breast cancer survivor who was mis-diagnosed for years (We always like to hear Dr. say " Oh it's just a cyst, and besides it HURTS so it can't be Cancer" WRONG!!!
Mine lump in the breast hurt and the lump under my arm which appeared SIX months after my mastectomy turned out to be a recurrence in my lyphm nodes.EVEN though my Onclogist told me the underarm lump was just scar tissue!!! I knew better and got a second opinion who verified my suspicion of a recurrence .I was sent immediately for another operation and Radiotherapy.
So IF it turns out to be malignent there are treatments but get checked PLEASE! Godbless and Goodluck ..."Stayin Alive" lala

Now that you are terrified...remember that very few lumps turn out to be cancer. I have several lumps in my armpits and they are all fine. No cancer. Infection, or past infection. Very simple. Yes, check it out and be careful, but I am not worried about you yet. Good luck
