What is the best time of month to perfom self exam? - Cancer: Breast Message Board

Can anyone tell me if there is a good or bad time of the month to perform a breast self-exam? With the hormone fluctuations during a woman's cycle and the subsequent changes in the breast (size, tenderness, etc.), I'm worried that maybe I should pick a certain time and keep it consistent so that I'm comparing apples to apples (mine are more like grapes, anyway!)

I think you've really hit it; it should be at the same time each month. But the sites I have just visited say 7-10 days after your period has started, or a week after your period; same difference.
