Absolutely have it checked, if for no other reason than to put your mind at ease. My discharge ended up being a non-invasive type of breast cancer (DCIS), but I still had to have a mastectomy because of the dispersal of the tumor. They were unable to remove it all with two lumpectomies. Have a sample taken of the discharge, and they will check to see if there are any atypical cells present. Please keep in mind that even if they are present, it may not be cancer.
