 ultrasound / mammogram
Last week I was sent for an ultrasound on my right breast for a lump I found over 1 year ago and my current doctor at that time said "I was too young to worry about it" but my current doctor is very concerned and sent me immediately for the ultrasound.
Now they are sending me for a mammogram. The majority of the things I've read on line show most people have the mammagram first and then, if needed, an ultrasound.
Is it normal that mine are being done backwards? Should I be concernced that I'm having to go for more testing?
What is the differance? Shouldn't they have been able to see what they needed from the ultrasound?
I'm terribly upset !!
