circulation after long bedrest
Dear ladies and/or doctors:
I’m seeking an answer to the following question: would you believer it - 2 weeks after mastectomy and TRAM FLAP reconstruction my greatest predicament is …my behind…??? Due to bad blood circulation after spending so much time on my back it is really giving me a hard time. Sounds funny, but I’m telling you, it drives me crazy. There are times I just prefer standing up or walking about, fearing the sensation that would follow if I sit or lie down. The skin in this area has become rough, and only an ointment for babies helps sooth the terrible scratching and burning sensation. A cold compress helps, too, but all these are for the symptoms, provide a short temporary relief and do not seem to cure the problem. I think the elastic belt also helps aggravate the situation, although it is not in direct touch with my skin.
Has any of you experienced a similar phenomenon? Can you give me any advice?
Wishing you all good health!
