Breast Pain - Cancer: Breast Message Board

Ok,
Yesterday my breasts were hurting. No big deal. I just figured I was starting my period and they do get tender. However, later last night my left brest started to throb. It felt kindof like they did after my son was born and my milk came in. I don't know how else to describe it. My nipple was even hard and sore.
I've had suspiciuous areas in my mamogram before and this is the same breast. I didn't think that the breast gets sore if its breast cancer, but I was hoping someone could suggest something? It's not throbbing this morning, just sore./ Also, red looking. Could it be a blocked duct? I don't know.
Any suggestions?

Just went to the doctor and he said it was probably an infection. I hope so. I am going to take antibiotic for a week and see what happens. I was searching the web and came across some info on inflamatory breast cancer. Kind of scary. Does anyone out there know anything about this. They said that drs usually misdiagnose infection. It makes me a little nervous. Anyone?
