| Re: how many have trouble with warts
Hi,
During my LEEP I was also treated for vulval warts. My case was apparently quite mild... I had a small cluster up near the clitoris and a few microscopic ones further down. In fact, because I never had a biopsy, the doc wasn't even sure I actually *had* CIN on the cervix. She said that the white spots may have just been warts, but that she needed to treat them anyway, and I haven't been for my follow-up pap yet so I don't know the results of what they took out during the LEEP.
For me, I only really noticed the small cluster around my clitoris -- they are kinda hard to spot... if you just sort of feel around and can feel any raised spots, you might have them... I'd recommend asking the doctor. Apparently they come in many shapes and sizes, and even different discolourations, and your doc is prob'ly more familiar with them and would be able to tell you if what they saw was typical of warts.
What I did experience was chronic itchiness. Sometimes not even in the area where the warts were, but like in my pubic hair... I just wanted to scratch and scratch and scratch. (The doc recommends *not* scratching, btw, because this makes the warts spread).
Hope this helps!
