Anyone out there have nipple discharge???? - Cancer: Breast Message Board

Any feed back would be greatly appreciated..
I have clear/yellowish discharge from my left breast.This occurs when touched or squeezed.
I had a mamogram that came back negative, but my GP is now sending me to a specialist who I see on Feb 27th.
He is sending my mamogram and prolactin levels with me to the appt.

Were your prolactin normal? You probably know this is secreted by the pituitary. It is often a cause of benign breast discharge. If it was at normal levels than they would need to look elsewhere. I would guess the next thing would be a ductogram. Sometimes benign papillomas will grow in a duct and give this symptom. It is good nothing showed on your mammogram. The only color of discharge that has alway been benign (that I am familiar with ) is green or milkey. Clear or yellow should be checked out as well as black or red. Keep in mind the majority of times breast discharge turns out to be a benign process BUT it should always be checked out.
