Tamoxifen - Cancer: Breast Message Board

Hi,
I have been on Tamoxifen for nearly 2 and a half years but within the last 10 months I have had 3 bouts of severe diarrhea & vomitting (before this I have never had such bad bouts in my whole life). Could it be Tamoxifen side effects?

Hi, I too took tamoxifen for 2 1/2 yrs have sinced gone through surgical menopause and have switched to aromasin. I never experienced any of the symptoms that you have, but everyone is different. If I were you I would let my doctor know of this, it may be nothing at all but let the dr. decide that.
how much longer will you be on tamoxifen? have you gone through menopause yet?

Not likely due to tamoxifen. Most intestinal side effects happen fairly soon after starting a drug, which doesn't sound likely in your case.
