I really need some opinions - Cancer: Breast Message Board

I got the results of my MRI biopsy and the 2 other spots were not cancer..but the original spot has changed and the surgeon said she would have to remove more tissue then originally thought..In the beginning I was going to wait for the Brac Analysis results which will take about 5 weeks.. but with this change and i assume its gotten bigger.. Im trying to decide whether to do a lumpectomy and five days of radition 2x a day right away...I wanted to wait but the idea that since the original spot has changed in 2 weeks since my first MRI the idea of waiting 5 weeks really scares me..Please I welcome all opinions and ideas regarding what I should do today is Thurs 8/9/07 and if I decide on a lumpectomy i could have it within the next 2 weeks..Any one have any thoughts for me...I appreciate all ideas Thank You Phyl45

Hi Phyl45,
What does your doctor suggest? I had a double mast and I knew right away that was what I was going to do. Just wanted it gone. I have not had the brac testing done yet. Why do you need to wait for those results before the lumpectomy? Keep me posted. My prayers are with you.
