Ok I , picked up my final report from the mammogram and u/s I had yesterday.

It says I have a 2cm cyst with numberous smaller cysts around it at 10 O' clock in my left breast. Where is 10 O clock in the breast ???

it says I have another 2 cm sharply defined structure at 9 o'clock in the right breast.

It also says prominence of fibrogladular tissue . What the heck does that mean fibrocystic ??

They want me to see a surgeon Next week , but I don't see what the big deal is. I just wonder if the numberous smaller cyst around the big one will be a problem.

Ok, I can help you a little. Ten o"clock is just where it would be on a clock if you were directly looking at it. On the left breast it is on the inner/upper side. Nine o'clock is in line with the nipple, ten o'clock is a little above. I had a cyst removed from my left breast 28 years ago, it was benign.

You have posted many questions, which leads me to believe that in a way you are worried. Just go to the surgeon and see what he/she says. If they want to biopsy, let them biospy. By not doing anything, you will always have questions. The surgeon may also want to perform a ductal levage, this procedure washes the duct and they can sample some of the cells to see if cancer is present. You can also request having an MRI done, just make sure that the facility that is doing the MRI is qualified to to this type of MRI.
