Hi I'm 19 years old and a few days ago I found a lump about the size of a marble on my left breast. Its hard, red, painful, and moves a little if I touch it. Its the second one I've found this year. The first is only about the size of a pea and it doesn't hurt at all. Breast cancer runs in my family but I'm afraid to go to the doctor. I'm terrified that they'll say I have cancer.
In a woman as young as you, it's more likely an infection, or a cyst. Get it checked out, then you can stop worrying. Pick up the phone and get an appointment.
I agree with JaneWhite.... get this checked out ASAP more for your own peace of mind. You need to put on those big girl panties and get an appointment. You shouldn't be putting yourself through mental stress like this. Hang in there.... most of these things are NOT breast cancer! Take care, Sharon
