| Cyst and Mass
Hello!
I am hoping someone can help me with a few questions I have, I went to my gyno for a exam, during the exam she felt a lump in my right breast, said it was probably a cyst but she needed to send me for mamogram, A week later I went for the mamogram, which should it was just a cyst (YES!) But there was also a mass,they performed a ultrasound and afterwards told me they suggest I get a core needle biopsy done, which was scheduled 3 days later, Christmas Eve, I had the procedure done, which was pretty simple and easy. I got a call on Thursday from the doctor that performed the biopsy and she said my preliminary result looked "ok", she was going out of town and would give my case to another and they would call me, But she set me up for a appointment to talk to a surgeon, saying i should have the cyst and mass removed, well after being rushed off the phone and even more confused, I waited. Over a week and called back she is still out of town and wont be back until jan 10! Day before my appt with the surgeon, well i talked to the nurse who was in the room when i had the biopsy and she looked up my results and said your results have not come back in. With holidays it may take longer, Monday will mark two weeks, the waiting is stressing me out. Has anyones doctor referred them to a surgeon to have a cyst and mass removed? Is this standard procedure? any help will be greatly appreciated!
