I had a breast cyst two years ago. It was aspirated and came back benign.
Three weeks ago I had my yearly mammo and there is a cyst in the same general area. My question is, if I already had the cyst investigated and it is benign, and if the cyst is not hurting me in any way, will I still need to get it aspirated again?
It's usually procedure to aspirate a cyst, and it's the best course of action. Glad to hear your cyst is benign. Stay on top of things, but seems you'll be ok. The doctors seem to have the situation well in hand. Whenever you find a new lump, don't delay to get it checked, though. Also, it's rare that cancer hurts.
