Question Period(s) after LEEP

Hi! I'm new here!
But, this looks to be like a very helpful and current message board. Looks like there are a few out there going through what I am, so I'll give it a shot!
Can anyone help me with some answers!
I had CIN3 and had a LEEP on April 15. They catarized (sp?) it and I had NO BLEEDING!! A little spotting on 1st and 2nd day, that was all. I started my period exactly on time! To the day! (Every 5 weeks is my cycle) I'm not usually on time, so it was unexpected for me! Now, come June, I am over 5 weeks plus 5 days late!! Is this normal? Anyone know? Especially since I had such an easy time of it....it is causing some stress....
Please help!

Ok, since nobody could answer my question, I will post my own. I thought you all might like to know what you may expect after your Leep!
I finally started my period! It was a week and a day late! My doctor did not tell me that hormones might factor into the whole Leep experience!
I've also been very weepy and depressed for the past week! Take note! Having a Leep done CAN effect your hormones! And, yes! My period IS heavier and the cramps and symptoms are worse than they were before I had the Leep. If I notice any more changes, I will post them here!

Thank you very much for your post. I actually went through the same thing as you did. I had no bleeding after the LEEP and I thought that was very strange but I sure did make up for it after. Just this weekend I had a ton of blood, I was starting to get really scared. My perid is to come in a week and usually I have some spotting the week prior and this sure wasn't just spotting. I can only imagine what my actual period is going to be like.

I'm also feeling very depressed. I sure hope it doesn't last too much longer, I think once I see the doctor and find out the results it should go away.

Have you received your results? How did it go?

The same thing happened to me, I had no bleeding at all after my leep. I kept reading about the experiences on this site and I was so worried I would bleed a lot, but did not at all. But I did just get my period today and it is definitely a lot heavier than it has ever been, not like something is wrong, but definitely a lot heavier. My doctor said this would be normal. I get my results next week.

At this point what do the results mean? I mean if there was cancer it would have showed up on the pap and the biopsy right? this is just a result to confirm the dysplasia? I just wanted to know what others thought...

I was pretty emotional after having my leep. I know for me though it was not hormones. Going through that whole thing is very emotional I was in such shock that I even had to deal with it at first then I was just plain sad because of all of it. I got my period about a week after having leep and that was not good because I always bleed very heavy and this is gross but the scab from the surgery came off from my period being so heavy and I not only was bleeding from my period I continued to bleed after and had to go in to have the doctor put some gunk on my cervix to stop the bleeding. The whole thing was a rollercoaster ride and for me it was having to deal with all of that that made me moody. That was about two years ago and everything is good now. All of my paps have come back normal since then. Once I got two good paps back I started to feel alot better emotionally.
