Re: prominent cervical blood vessels
I wouldn't go through the colposcopy and biopsy unless something were abnormal on the pap.
I too (at 37) have very prominent blood vessels covering the whole inside of my cervix and uterus - causing the heavy, clotty periods. It has now become worse just in the last 6 months and after an ultrasound, my gyn onc (went to him for some bad paps prior to preg - haven't had another bad one since giving birth 6 years ago) says I have adenomyosis. I am having a hysterectomy this year for the painful cramps, the heavy periods coming every 14 days, and my very low iron blood level.
I have dealt with this since a hysteroscopy a year after giving birth when he said I had the "rivers and pools of blood vessels - unlike anything he has ever seen before".
I think if you have no problems - do nothing - it's not that unusual for what some would call varicose veins of the uterus.
Let me know if you have more questions - I'll try to help.
