Endometrial biopsy question

Hello, I have a question about endometrial biopsies and figured this would be the best board.

I had one today. I had some cramping during the procedure and broke out into a sweat but it wasn't as bad as it could have been. However, since then, I've had what I'd liken to a light period or at least what I suspect a light period would be like since I always have heavy periods. It's enough that I cannot wear just a panty liner but certainly not enough for my usual maxi pads. I also have a little bit of cramping tonight.

Did anybody else have bleeding that was a bit more than spotting and, if so, how long did it last? Does this sound normal?

Re: Endometrial biopsy question

I won't lie, i'm too lazy (more so pressed for time as it's passed my bedtime-I just wanted to reply to you.), to research "endometial".

I'm replying to say to you, whatever that word "stands" for, on this particular board, i'm sorry you had to go through the "sweat moment".

Where do I come from? Had a punch biopsy early morning appointment on an empty stomach. Bad move. Let's just say, I then knew why there was a lazyboy chair in the other room. (went white, almost passed out-eat before appointments I learned then. )

Unfortunately, since I didn't do my research on that word, I can't answere as to if it's normal. Sorry.

I realise did doesn't "help" you, I just needed to reply.

Only thing I can say, my 2 cents worth. Listen to your body. If it doesn't feel "right"/ "good healing", call your doc. ? Better safe than sorry. Are you in any pain?

Re: Endometrial biopsy question

My doctor told me after my endometrial biopsy to expect to bleed for a few days. He did say it shouldn't be heavy like a normal period, but spotting (less than a normal period) could be expected. I spotted for 3 days.

Re: Endometrial biopsy question

Thank you so much for the replies. They are appreciated. I ended up having a light period and lower back cramping for a day and spotting for about three more days.

Good news, got the results back and no cancer but I sort of thought that anyway.

If anybody is reading this though and about to go through this biopsy, take an 800mg Motrin before having it. I didn't know I was having this done or I would have taken one. Apparently it makes a big difference.
