I had cryotherapy last week. I was told it would be similiar to the colposcopy but I found it much much more painful esspec on my right side and I threw up twice. The doc said ppl rarely throw up. Also every website I go to says the test should hurt much I'm wondering if its just me. I hope I never have to have this surgery repeated, has anyone else?
I had it done back in February, and it was not bad at all--just take lots of ibuprofrin a couple hours before. I think the colposcopy was much worse! I know it's stressful, but if you relax as much as possible, it will help.
Hi, for me the colposcopy and biopsies were much worse than the treatment.
ILoveNY2, please don't be too anxious about the treatment. Obviously it is not a nice thing to go through but I also think its very unusual for people to find that the treatment is worse than the biopsy taking. Your cervix is numbed (which you don't really feel happening) and it is more a strange sensation getting the treatment than actual pain of any kind.
Well, I had it done today and I'm happy to report that I felt nothing except a little pressure. They told me to take 4 Advil before I went in and I broke out in severe hives, which was just lovely, but other than that it went very well. A couple of good things came out of today; hopefully all the bad cells are now gone and I now know I can never take Advil again.
