| Question about ultrasound
Hello everyone.
I am not sure if this is the right place to post this but here it goes. My mom is 59 years old with Systemic Lupus and has a history of fibroids. She had an ultrasound done 7weeks ago. The doctor said there was a "bright spot" on here ovary. They did not know what it was but wanted to recheck. They did the second ultrasound last week and nothing has changed. The doctor now wants to wait 3 months for a pelvic exam to see if she can feel anything, she didn't 7 weeks ago, and do another ultrasound. She said again she does not know what it is but it is not a mass. My mom is understandably worried. Has anyone heard the expression "bright spot" and if so, what does it mean. Thank you for any help you can give.
