pregnancy after precancerous cell treatment

I am wondering after having cyrotherapy done if it will effect my chances later in life of becoming pregnant? I have seen several websites some saying yes and some saying no.

Re: pregnancy after precancerous cell treatment

The impression I have gotten from my Dr. is that having cryosurgery will not really affect your chances of conceiving. I've had two LEEP's and he says I'm still in good shape to carry. Your Dr. knows your body though, so asking him/her should get you the answer you need.

Re: pregnancy after precancerous cell treatment

I had my first cryosurgery in Oct. 2004 and was very worried about any resulting infertility. My Dr. said it shouldn't impact things in that regard, but I was very skeptical. I had to have a second cryosurgery in Sept. 2005 and although I didn't know it at the time, I must have gotten pregnant, literally two days before the procedure. I'm now 11+ weeks pregnant and so far so good, so I would say there is a good chance that the cryosurgery won't be a major factor in your fertility.

Okay thanks, thats reliving. I threw up after the first cryosurgery so I am praying I don't have to have it again.

as far as I'm concerned cone biopsies sound to me that would probably be the most likely ones to create fertility problems and that is if it's more than one. There is nothing to worry about cryo or leeps.
