Smile After Leep

I had my LEEP done in aug..Next month will be my follow up..I was wondering if anyone knows roughty the odds of it all being caught during leep???I havent heard back from the drs since so i assume thats a good thing and that nothin was wrong with the biopsies they took during the surgery.Or do they typically wait until ur follow up even if they found something???Any insights would be great.Thank You

Re: After Leep

I had my first leep and my doc called me back for a second when the biopsy showed dysplasia to the boundaries of the biopsied piece. She did a second leep to be sure. From my experience, I would expect that no news was good news. Don't be disappointed if an abnormal still shows. I had a normal, abnormal, normal, normal since my leeps (Yeah! 2 in a row!) The abnormal may be a few more cells or just scar tissue. The doc just did a wait and see with my abnormal and so far things have righted themselves. I know its worrisome, but try to relax and good luck!
