First Cycle Post LEEP

Hi -
I had a LEEP procedure on 1/4 and my period is due in the next few days. I'm already experiencing pms symptoms (migraine, cramping, etc.) which are all normal for me, but seem like they are starting earlier than normal. I really feel like I'm in for a tough time and am just wondering if any of you have experienced unusually painful or uncomfortable periods following a LEEP.
Thanks in advance!
J

Re: First Cycle Post LEEP

Might be LEEP effects or could be period. Keep an eye on it. Obviously, call doc if you notice any odor or odd colored discharge. It the pain gets severe, call the doc. Remember, you can always call your doc and describe the symtoms and ask if its normal. I did that when I kept bleeding afterward. They assured me that the amount was okay and told me to call back if it got heavier. It turned out to be fine.

Hope that helps. Take care.

After my LEEP the only thing that sucked royally about my period was that I couldn't wear tampons as I usually do! I suppose it seemed to me that I was bleeding heavier than normal because of that. I usually have bi-monthly bad periods. I have a decent one, then a bad one (more painful), then a decent one, then a bad one. That's just me, but I wouldn't be overly concerned unless you see an excess of blood or continue to have period-like symptoms for days more than you are used to. Never hurts to call the doc just in case!
