10 Days Post-LEEP, is this normal?

I had the LEEP done last Monday, followed this board all the way through to know what to expect, you all have been lifesavers! Thank you!

I had the clear discharge, the yellow-greenish with specks of black (yuck!), then the pinkish..now I'm bleeding a darker red, tho' not quite like a normal period. Is this 'normal' at this stage of the game? I'm going to the doctor on Monday for a follow-up, am just a bit nervous at this point.

Oh, and were any of you *extremely* tired? Though it's supposed to be a simple procedure, I'm finding that it has really taken it's toll on me, just don't have my normal amount of energy.

Thanks again!

Re: 10 Days Post-LEEP, is this normal?

Hi,
I had a LEEP in early January and I had very bright red blood following the clear and the yellowish-greenish discharge; my doctor warned me that might happen but I still remember being freaked out.

I was also pretty tired for a while after. I remember my favorite part of the day was the train ride home so I could nap.

Good Luck
J

If I remember correctly, sounds normal to me. Major bonus your seeing your doc so soon. You are blessed in that aspect. That's awsome!

You feel drain, the way I see it, not from the procedure itself, but from the stress related to it. Completely natural unfortunately.

You deserve to pamper yourself right now!

Re: 10 Days Post-LEEP, is this normal?

Thank you for the replies..I saw my doctor yesterday and got a good report: biopsy showed only minor atypical cells, no severe dysplasia. My cervix is healing up nicely as well. I have to go back in 3 months for another Pap, but so far, so good.

Sounds pretty normal to me, that was the same as my LEEP pretty much that I had 3 weeks ago. I am still exhausted from it though!
