I read somewhere that when they tested women with dysplasia, a majority of them tested low on beta carotene and as soon as they started supplements they started getting normal pap results. Has anyone discussed this with their doctor or ever heard any truth about it? My doc didnt know anything about it. Thanks for reading.
Beta carotene is Vitamin A. Research has found that women with dysplasia are usually low in Vitamin A, folic acid, and the B vitamins. You could try supplementing these vitamins and see what happens. Maybe it'd help.
Just went for a follow up pap yesterday for continuous abnormal, ascus readings and dsyplasia readings in the past. Doctor said that she read in a recent article that nectarines and passion type fruit help with getting rid of HPV and dsyplasia.
Oh okay, so what I read was on the right track. I started beta carotene about 8 months ago. When dh and i started TTC 6 months ago, i started prenatals. I had my pap yesterday. We'll see if it comes back normal. Thanks for your replies!
