Hello all. I am new here and thought I would ask this and see if anyone knows. My Mom is dealing with Ovarian Cancer, she was first diagnosed last June, completed treatment last November, in February 07 they told her she was clear, but she now is facing a recurrance. The Dr. here has told her she needs to be referred to either MD Anderson or Sloan Kettering. Does anyone know which of the two is farther along in regards to ovarian cancer research. I know they are the top 2 hospitals - but don't know if one would be better than the other. Any help or experience is greatly appreciated!!
I don't know, sorry. But I did have a wonderful experience with Sloan Kettering in regards to something else...

Thanks, what can you tell me in regards to patient care and family support and such. One of the things we want is for me to be able to stay in her room for the first day or two after surgery - I know MD Anderson encourages family staying, but not sure about MSK. Things like that are what I personally am curious about. Mom is curious about the research and treatment side of things (I am too, but at this point, either are good options and I just want the best stay for her)
