Hi, I'm 45 y/o. I had my papsmear and mammogram every year, and it turns out to be normal. But this morning, when I went to the bathroom for bowel movement, I noticed that the toilet tissue that i used after wiping had a bright red blood on it, that makes me worried. My question is? What do you think is the problem?
I had the same thing, except I discovered that the bleeding was from my vagina and happened when I had bowel movements. I am still having this problem but it seems to be only when I get near my period. I have had LEEP and still have LSIL so I am under the care of a gyno oncologist. I am having some exploratory surgery to rule out a few things, but it is very likely the bleeding I am having is related to a large endocervical polyp I have. Polyps can cause this type of scenario. Make sure you know exactly where the bleeding is coming from.
Not too much to worry about if it is bright red. It is probably a hemorrhoid either internal or external. They often tear open and bleed a little or even a lot at times. If the bleeding stops then no big deal but if it doesn't you will need to have it taken care of at the doctors office.
