| Re: Abnormal pap...little freaked out
I wouldnt worry too much since many, many women get abnormal paps and for so many it turns out to be nothing. And even if it is more moderate or severe, the colposcopy will enable the doc to get some tissue for biopsy to check everything. I dont think you need to worry so much unless some news comes after your colposcopy biopsies. Its not really worth the worry beforehand, you'll just stress too much, though I know it's easier said than done. I had a surprise myself last yr, had the colposcopy, then a cold knife cone; then I had follow up paps every 3-4 months, which came out fine, until my last one a few months ago. All of a sudden it was HSIL again out of the blue. But you know what, until I hear back from her about the results, I cant let myself get in a panic over it, it really does no good to stress yourself even more. Plus all that stress may contribute to the bodys inability to rid of the hpv. My doc even asked me if I was under alot of stress. I have been, but that was because of severe pain from other medical issues, and having to take different sorts of steroids in different forms, which also lowers ones immunity. So im not sure why mine is suddenly looking bad again after a clear margin cone & a few clear paps. So just wanted you to know others have been through this and try not to worry unless you hear news that is cause for worry.
