Please only use abbreviations listed below. This will help readers whose first language is not English, readers who are not familiar with Medical terms in your country and newcomers to the boards who have not yet dived into the technology.

AIS - Adencarcinoma in situ
ASCUS - Atypical Squamous cells of undetermined significance
BSO - bilateral salpingo-oopherectomy (removal of both ovaries and tubes)
CA125 - a blood test
CIN - cervical intraepithelial neoplasia
CIS - Carcinoma in situ
CKC - Cold Knife Cone
Colpo - Colposcopy
D&C - Dilation and Curettage
DH - dear husband
DR - Doctor
DX - Diagnosed or Diagnosis
ECC - Endocervical Curettage
ER - Emergency department
HPV - Human Papillomavirus (may be associated with lr or hr for High or Low risk)
IV - Intravenous
LAVH - laparoscopically assisted vaginal hysterectomy
LEEP - Loop Electrosurgical Excision Procedure
LLETZ - Large loop excision of the transformation zone
MIL - Mother-in-law
SIL - Squamous intraepithelial lesion
STD - Sexually Transmitted Disease
SX - symptom(s)
TAH - total abdominal hysterectomy
TMI - Too much information (too many details)
TVH - total vaginal hysterectomy
TX - treatment(s)
u/s - Ultrasound
UFE - Uterine Fibroid Embolization
VIN - similar to CIN but affecting the Vulva rather than the cervix
