Finally got the green light to conceive

Anybody had conception problems after having a LEEP?

It's been a year and everything is FINALLY back to normal

Any insights, advice, suggestions would be appreciated

Sorry I don't have any suggestions or insights -as i don't plan on having a child after my LEEP - but I did wonder what you meant by everything is finally back to normal after - one year?

How much of your cervix did your surgeon remove do you know? I know the average amount is 3mm-5mm of tissue. I know a few people who have had LEEPS and had absolutely no problems - and healed after a month and returned to all activities after a month.

I also know of a few people who conceived after with no problems either.

Did you have complications?

No complications-- Mild to mod dysplasia
After the LEEP the healing process began and I repeat paps every 6 mons

Oh okay - that is great news. I thought you meant you were allowed to try to conceive for a year - but is sounds like that is your preference!

So that is wonderful! I wish you all the best! I am sure you will have no problems conceiving and before you know it you'll have a beautiful, healthy baby!

I am 42 and have never had children, not by choice just by chance.
