| Re: biopsy from endocervical pap
I'm not really sure what you are asking?
The Pap smear is a screening tool. It tells the doctor if there is are abnormal cells on the cervix. If that comes back abnormal, then the doctor might do other tests. One test is a colposcopy. When the doctor does the colposcopy he/she might take a biopsy of the cervix and/or he/she might do another additional scraping called an endocervical curettage (ecc) to sample the tissue in the cervical canal.
