Now, I'm starting to bleed again (I bled right after the surgery yesterday, but it stopped). The bleeding isn't that heavy, but I'm afraid. I'm also having cramping despite being on pain meds.
Is this normal right after the surgery?
Should I be worried?
Also, will my hormones (and emotions) go crazy in the next few weeks?
eva, I don't know about your surgery or your bleeding, but when I had my hysterectomy they said if I filled a pad in an hour, then I was to go to the ER.

Anyone else have a unilateral oopherectomy? That's medical speak for one ovary removed.
How long until your other ovary picked up the slack? Did you have hormonal problems? I'm wondering how long until my hormones get back to normal...
I've heard that the remaining ovary "goes to sleep" for a few months. Is this true?
It is possible, with any surgery to the lower abdomen for the ovary(ies) to go to sleep. I've read of some women being on hormones to help with the menopause symptoms for just a few months until the ovary(ies) kicked back in.
has anyone had the same pain or discomfort 2 months after an ovarian cystectomy? I am scared it is another cyst this soon I also had endometriosis removed.
