how much should I expect to pay for a LEEP? I have no insurance. I have been going to the local clinic, where I had my abnormal pap, and then the colposcopy. The results came back abnormal, so I was referred by the Nurse Practionioner to have a LEEP done. The LEEP could not be performed at the clinic, so I had to go to a gynecologist which was just upstairs. The NP at the clinic, told me it was going to cost around $500. I get to the gyno office where I was having the LEEP done, and they charged me even more. I paid it then. Then, two weeks later, I had my follow up appt at the Gyno, I was told I still owed $540. Now, two weeks later, I received a bill for $940. I dont know what I'm supposed to believe, or even what I am being charged for. Can anyone help?
