Chronic = continuous, over a long period of time (not acute or new)
endocervicitis = inflammation of the cervix
squamous = the cells on the exocervix (outer cervix where a doctor will do a pap smear or look at the cervix with an colposcope)
metaplasia = basically is the beginnings of cell changes
So it means that your cervix has chronic inflammation and the squamous cells are beginning to become atypical (not "normal").
Your doctor might tell you to wait 3, 4, or 6 months and come back to be rechecked or he/she might tell you that you need more testing/biopsies to determine the extent of the atypical cell changes.
