Hello everyone

My LEEP went well

and much better than I thought. DR numbed the area before putting the needles in so I felt very little, and not enough to scream. I've not received a call this week, which may mean they got all the cells out and found no immediate cancer threat. I have to make a 4 month follow up appt on Monday. I'm relieved but still nervous about what I'll find out in 4 month follow up appt.

Still a little hazy about all this HPV stuff...like so many others here. I don't think they tested me for HPV but my family DR did say i have it. Maybe they did test for it; I assume they did in order to tell me this

Funny how some questions we think about only after we leave the DR's office! To those of you who had LEEP done, I'm having a charcoal discharge now...I didn't get the bleeding and the cramping which is great...but this black stuff when I wipe...um, can anyone tell me how long it goes on for? I also have slight liquid discharge along with this dark one...thanks everyone!

Hi there -- I had a CKC biopsy, not a LEEP, but my doc did cauterize (like the LEEP does). I had that charcoal discharge for a little while too and was told it was the granulized tissue. In total I had discharge for a little over two weeks. Then it stopped and that was it! Glad your LEEP went well!!

Yes just today in fact its hardly there now. But I read somewhere that after the charcoal stuff, one woman had severe bleeding, much more than a heavy period. I thought that only happens right after a procedure like this one. And the CKC Biopsy, is it the same thing as a LEEP. Just confused with all these diff. types of tests! Thanks again Zoe!
