Talking Back from John Hopkins Great news!

Hi everyone!
I am so happy I am doing flips! The results of my biopsies came back with no AIS or dysplasia. Even thou I had positive margins at my LEEP. Here is the best part...the HPV test came back negative!!! Dr. Trimble did say that there was a lot of inflammation due to the healing process and she would be able to take a better look in three months but I am just thrilled!!!!
She said at this point she feels totally comfortable just having me come back for a 3 month follow up, that means no more surgery yet!!!!!! I am still in shock, this is so far from what I expected to hear, and if I had heard it from any other doctor I don't know if I would trust it!

Wow, that is great news!!! I didn't think that could happen! What a relief for you!

What was the doctor's take on what happened? Did she think the surgery just kicked your immune system into action to take care of the remaining hpv and dysplasia?

Hope you can celebrate tonight!

Re: Back from John Hopkins Great news!

WOW!!!

I bet the cauterization from the LEEP killed off those suckers!!!! YAY!

You know, this isn't quite at surprising at it should be . . . I did a little reading the other day, and the study showed women who had hysts after a cone with postive margins. Something like only 55% had residual disease! 55% is HUGE, but with the way the doctors talk about the clear margins as a predicter, you'd think everyone with positive margins would have residual disease. NOPE.

CONGRATS! Especially on the HPV negative part!

I am so pleased for you! Dr. Trimble sounds very thorough. Which hpv test did she order for you?

Re: Back from John Hopkins Great news!

I had my LEEP on March 13th and I had my biopsies taken at John Hopkins on April 7th so almost 4 weeks? I started taking the supplements right after my LEEP. I am praying for you!
