Hi there --
I agree that you should take a look at the pathology report for yourself to see exactly what it says, and exactly what was tested. I would also schedule an appointment with the gyn to discuss the results (once you already have the path report in your hand, so you've had a chance to read it and will be ready to fire questions at your doc!). I would then question her as to why she didn't do the ECC, and let her know you are uncomfortable with not having had one....and unless she could come up with one heck of an explanation as to why you shouldn't worry about the AGUS result on the pap, and a better explanation for not doing an ECC than the saying the endo biopsy would get something "on the way out" (which it CAN, but that doesn't necessarily mean it WILL), then I'd go get myself a second opinion with a new doc.
I went to an ob-gyn that I loved, and when she first told me about having hr hpv, she looked me in the eye and told me I had nothing to worry about. She did no further testing, no colpo, no biopsies, nothing; told me to come back in a year. I trusted her. She turned out to be totally wrong, and six months later I was diagnosed with early invasive cervical cancer. I'm not saying this to scare you! What happened to me was rare. BUT, I so wish I'd questioned her more, done more of my own research, and insisted on more testing....but I trusted her. Big mistake. I don't trust any doctor with anything, and if there is any type of suspicious result, I would have it checked out until I had a satisfactory answer that makes sense to ME -- not one that satisfies the doc or nurse or whoever.
Hope this helps, and hope I didn't scare you! I just feel it's much better to be safe than sorry. Please let us know what's going on after you get your path report.
