Menstrual changes after LEEP

I had my LEEP done August 13. About a week later I got my period, on schedule, normal duration, etc. This month my period came a week early and has now lasted 16 days. Is this normal after a LEEP? My doctor never mentioned any menstrual changes that I should be aware of.

I see him again on Friday for my cone biopsy pre-op and will definitely ask, but was wondering if anyone has any experience they'd care to share.

Re: Menstrual changes after LEEP

My periods were a bit messed up for several months after each gynecological procedure (except the hyst . . . that ended it all ).

I would say your abnormal periods are probably normal, but definately talk with your doctor.

Re: Menstrual changes after LEEP

I didn't have a period for two months after my LEEP! When I asked around about this, it seemed that there isn't really a "normal" when it comes to menstral cycles after a LEEP - it was all over the map for everyone I talked to.
