I thought I beat this little bug but it seems to have found another weakspot. The docs have found a spot on the outside of the liver very high up. They said they can't send me for a PET scan due to all the radiation I had it won't show up, and they can't do a biop as it's too risky, to close to the lungs etc etc. They have also said there is no cure for me but that it is a very unusual place for cervical cancer to spread to.
My question is, have any of you heard of a case like this? On top of this I now have lymph odema and the one kidney isn't working.
Oh goodness, Badprop, I'm so sad to hear that they suspect the cancer is spreading! I hope and pray that the spot on the liver is caused by something else!
After my hyst, while I was still in the hospital, my doctor came and showed me the pictures she took while doing the hyst. The picture showed my ovaries and another one showed my liver. She said there were spots on it (or something like that) and that I needed to go to a gastrointerologist to get it checked out. Well, I did. I had several (expensive) tests, and it ended up not being any type of atypical growth. WHEW!
That is what I am hoping for you!
(((((((more hugs and prayers going your way, girl)))))))
I am so sorry to hear this news, and hope they find that there's no real problem with the liver. Sorry about the lymph edema and kidneys as well, but maybe your body just needs a little more time to heal before it can start working properly again?? You have been through -- and made it through!! -- a lot in the past year. Despite this potential setback, you sound great and have the right attitude -- to keep on fighting!!
Did you get to go to your trip to Fiji? I hope so, and hope you had a lovely time! Please keep us posted on how you are doing. I'm thinking all good thoughts for you to have a speedy and complete recovery.
