Waiting 2 weeks!

I have not had a pelvic exam or pap smear in 7 or 8 years. I have been having prolonged periods (10-12 days) for a few years now. My last two periods have had unusually large clots and pain. So I made an appointment with my family doctor who did a pap smear and pelvic exam. She told me I was very bloated (I also have IBS) and she saw some white spots on my cervix. She said the pap test and some blood work she did would be back in 2 weeks. I asked her if she call me with the results and she said no I would need to come in for the results. (ok that scared me). She said it could be "anything" even low estrogen. I am 39 years old and that would make sense but why come back for those results. I am afraid she suspects something else. Anyway it is killing me to wait 2 weeks. What could it be?

Re: Waiting 2 weeks!

In America it is against the law to provide any medical information via telephone. It's an identity issue. How do they know it's really you? Therefore by law you have to go back for results. I hope everything turns out ok. Keep us updated

Re: Waiting 2 weeks!

I received the results today and the pap was clear. Blood tests showed I have low estrogen and testoterone so I am going to try a hormone replacement to see if that helps my symtoms. Yea! God is good!
