| Waiting 2 weeks!
I have not had a pelvic exam or pap smear in 7 or 8 years. I have been having prolonged periods (10-12 days) for a few years now. My last two periods have had unusually large clots and pain. So I made an appointment with my family doctor who did a pap smear and pelvic exam. She told me I was very bloated (I also have IBS) and she saw some white spots on my cervix. She said the pap test and some blood work she did would be back in 2 weeks. I asked her if she call me with the results and she said no I would need to come in for the results. (ok that scared me). She said it could be "anything" even low estrogen. I am 39 years old and that would make sense but why come back for those results. I am afraid she suspects something else. Anyway it is killing me to wait 2 weeks. What could it be?
