symptoms of colon cancer????!!!! - Cancer: Colon Message Board

For the past 3 months I have experienced a major change in my bowel movements. I am always constipated, my stool is really dark brown and I have had blood(not alot) in it as well. Also, it is pellet like and very hard, and there is always mucous surrounding the stool when I have a movement. I get CONSTANT gas almost every evening and get bloated on a regular basis. Sorry to get into so much detail, but its starting to scare me!

Hi,could be almost anything.I not 100% sure, but mucous isn't one of the signs of colon cancer. Any time you have blood I would check with your doctor. And if your stools are that hard,I would drink more water and eat more fruit and fiber... plc

Please get in touch with your doctor. My dad has colonrectal cancer, but my mom has irritable bowel syndrom and your symptoms sound alot like hers. Don't let yourself get stressed until you have a reason, go for a checkup. ME

It sounds like IBS. But you should see a doctor. When you find out let us know and good luck.
